Ok, so I have already fallen off the wagon! ha I told myself that I was going to document this journey everyday and I didn't even update the very next day. I guess that's life with 3 young boys and one with RSV. Anyways, I started out doing pretty good at this whole lifestyle change but it didn't last long. I don't know what happened to my self control and discipline... I know I used to have it but convenience foods have all come, well, convenient. I honestly don't even know the last time we had a home cooked meal! Isn't that terrible??
So, I have decided to give Medifast a try. I know it's definitely not a solution to my weight problem but for now it will at least get my weight off and fast. My best friend is getting married in 6 months and I don't want to be fat at her wedding. I would hate for her wedding pictures to be filled with a fat girl. I placed my first order today and hopefully will have it by the end of the week and can start next week. It claims you lose 2-5 pounds a week. My brother-in-law lost approximately a pound a day. How awesome would that be?
I still think this is going to be hard but at least I won't have to "think" about how to diet. It will be easy to just make a shake or whatever and be done with it. I will still have a healthy dinner of "lean and green" and our whole family will eat the same thing so it really shouldn't be a big deal at dinner time.
My back is giving me more problems and I'm going back to see my surgeon tomorrow. At least this is a program that I can do and lose weight even when I physically can't exercise. I will keep everyone posted on my progress.
